Bahrain National Insurance & Bahrain Polytechnic Collaborate to Empower & Train Students

Bahrain National Insurance Company (bni) signed a memorandum of understanding with Bahrain Polytechnic, on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, for future cooperation in developing programs and providing practical training opportunities for the mechanical engineering students.

 

The memorandum of understanding, which took place virtually, was signed by Bahrain Polytechnic, Dr. Reem Al-Buainain, Acting CEO, and by the General Manager of Bahrain National Insurance Company, Mrs. Eman Salem Mojali, in the presence of a number of senior officials from both sides.

 

According to the MoU, the Polytechnic and bni will work together in implementing collaborative projects and practical training programs for Polytechnic students, as well as applied research projects within the field of mechanical engineering, and participating in the implementation of case studies of specific topics for inclusion in the solution-based curriculum. Moreover, both entities will coordinate in exchanging specialized experts for the purpose of designing specialized training content in the context of training courses in line with the unique Bahraini culture and environment. In addition to providing the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Bahrain Polytechnic with mechanical spare parts to be recycled in manufacturing and repairing vehicles, which will contribute to preserving the environment.

 
On this occasion, Acting CEO of Bahrain Polytechnic, Dr. Reem Al-Buainain said: "We are pleased today to conclude this memorandum of understanding with the Bahrain National Insurance Company, thanking its executive management for its positive response and permanent cooperation with the Polytechnic." She pointed out that such agreements would contribute to the implementation of the polytechnic's strategic plan, which is based on strengthening the college's relations with all partners, and creating new partnerships to contribute to achieving the polytechnic's vision, which is compatible with the vision and objectives of the Kingdom of Bahrain 2030.

 
The General Manager of bni, Ms. Eman Salem Mojali, said: “We thank Bahrain Polytechnic for giving us the opportunity to be part of this training program, and we will make sure under this agreement to provide various training opportunities for students of mechanical engineering at the Polytechnic. We are pleased with the great opportunities to be offered to the student who will benefit from these programs, and which will benefit them in their academic and professional performance, expand their expertise and develop their skills in their field of specialization. This initiative comes in line with the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, which aims to develop an education system that provides every citizen with educational opportunities appropriate to their individual needs, aspirations and abilities. Education and training need to be relevant to the requirements of Bahrain and its economy, delivered to the highest possible quality standards, and accessible based on ability and merit to reflect well on future generations and contribute to creating promising future opportunities. "

 
It is noteworthy that the cooperation between Bahrain Polytechnic and the parent company of the Bahrain National Insurance Company, Bahrain National Holding Company(BNH), has been going on since 2016, when the two parties signed a similar memorandum of understanding, with the aim of meeting the needs of the labor market and bridging the gap of skilled Bahraini workers specialized in several fields, including: business administration, technology Information and communications, in addition to upgrading the applied higher education and scientific research sector in order to achieve the priorities that the Kingdom of Bahrain aspires to in order to meet the current and future labor market requirements.
